УводIntroduction
Манастир Папраћа налази се у истоименом селу на
путу Зворник - Шековићи. Саборни манастирски храм посвећен је
Благовјештењу Пресвете Богородице. У народној поезији
манастир се помиње у неколико пјесама. Тако у једној каже се „Папраћу близу Борогова“ подигао је Симеон Немања. У другој, пак, каже се да је Папраћу
подигла једна од четири сестре српског „цара Шћепана“, а у стиховима
пјесме „Милош у Латинима“ каже се да је Папраћа задужбина
жупана Вукана. Оно што је сасвим извесно јесте то да је манастир
пореклом из немањићког времена, као и то да у њему наставља да живи
светосавска православна вера и духовност.
Papraća Monastery is located in the village of the same name on the
road Zvornik - Šekovići. The cathedral monastery church is dedicated
to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In folk poetry, the
monastery is mentioned in several poems. In one of those it is
mentioned that "Papraća near Borogovo" was build by Simeon Nemanja.
In the second, however, it is said that Papraća was raised by one of
the four sisters of the Serbian "Czar Šćepan", and in the lyrics of
the song "Miloš among Latins" it is said that Papraca was the
endowment of the prefect Vukan. What is quite certain is the fact
that the monastery originates from the time of Nemanjić dynasty, as
well as that the Serbian Orthodox faith and spirituality continues
to live in it to this day.

Протекле двије године траје пројекат систематских археолошких
истраживања у манастиру Папраћа, све у оквиру обиљежавања јубилеја 170
година од последње велике обнове манастира. Резултати досадашњих
истраживања показали су још већи значај манастирског комплекса, него
што се то раније и претпостављало.
For the past two years, a project of systematic archaeological
research has been going on in the Papraća monastery, all within the
framework of celebrating the 170th anniversary of the last major
renovation of the monastery. The results of research so far have shown
an even greater importance of the monastery complex than was
previously assumed.

Почетком мјесеца априла 2023. г. Дражан Филиповић нам је доставио
новчана средства која је прикупио од нашег народа у Ванкуверу
(Канада). Овом приликом желимо да се захвалимо и њему на његовом и
труду и новчаној помоћи, као и свим људима који су узели учешћа у
прикупљању помоћи нашем манастиру, поготово сада када су археолошка
испитивања актуелна и када су огромна средства потребна да се она
спроведу онако како и доликује. Вјерујемо да ће Господ, молитвама
Пресвете Богородице и свих Светих, излити богату милост на све оне
који су до сада помогли и оне који желе да учествују у обнови нашег
манастира.
At the beginning of April 2023. Mr. Dražan Filipović delivered us the
funds he had collected from our people in Vancouver (Canada). We would
like to take this opportunity to thank him for his efforts and
financial aid, as well as to express gratitude to all the people who
took part in collecting aid for our monastery, especially now when
archaeological investigations are ongoing and when huge resources are
needed to implement them as they should be. We believe that our Lord,
through the prayers of the Most Holy Mother of God and every one of
His Saints, will pour out abundant grace on all those who have helped
so far and those who want to participate in the renovation of our
monastery.
